Pantamuzik is proud to announce the first release of Miguel Toro in our label. Venezuela-born, living in Berlin for many years, Toro has been crafting some excellent tracks over the years that reflect his background as drummer and percussionist. His work has been released in prestigious label such as Cadenza and Moonharbour, and he has been a close collaborator with Samim, touring extensively the world for two years. “Orkestar” is an eclectic track that builds up on simple elements and reaches to a dramatic climax. Rooted on a rock solid drum and hihat pattern, a variety of little percussive parafernalia, played live, colors the track and leads us to dance heaven. A simple structure acts as a canvas for electronic, noisy melodic elements and a voice sample adds the right amount of intensity. “Kurduca” is also a showcase for Toro’s mastery of percussive hooks. Innovative and deeply latin on its hihat work, a steady , barely melodic line runs over the whole track with great dancefloor effect. There are plenty of details such as hushed voices,  spoken samples and glitchy undertones that result on a sophisticated, highly danceable contemporary track.Keep an eye on this forthcoming release, scheduled for August.
