Although Julian Brody’s interest in electronica dates back to the early 80’s, he began composing in this genre during the late 90’s. His works have been featured in a number of electronica compilations,  including Elektro-Mex for BMG Mexico in 2001, Modus Vivendi Vols. 1 & 2, for Modus Vivendi Music in 2003 and 2006, and Future Sound Of, for Universal, in 2005.

Eyesight Project’s eponymous debut was released in 2004, and remixed in 2005 by a range of the many producers and musicians associated with Modus Vivendi Music, such as B.N. Loco, Monta, and the Soulwarriors.

A long and passionate relationship with electro and techno led Julian to the dj booth in 2003. In 2005, Eyesight Project toured Europe, appearing as an electronica live act at the Human Web Party in Milan along with dj’s such as Adam F and Axel Bartsch, in clubs such as the Erste Liga and the Keller in Munich, and the Felix in Berlin.

Julián has honed his skills as a dj mostly in Mexico, performing in some of that country’s most prestigious venues for electronica, such as the Aura in Monterrey, or the Rioma and La Bipolar in Mexico City, as well as in a huge range of events and private parties. In 2007, he performed alongside Makossa and Megablast (G-Stone, Vienna) in Cholula, Puebla.

Julian is an experienced musician who has toured as lead guitarist for the seminal Mexican ska-punk band Simples Mortales, withLeonardo de Lozanne (ex-Fobia), with Mexican indie legends Zoe, and with LA-based reggae groups such as Jah Faith and the Peacemakers. He also held down a long standing residence in Mexico City’s Bar Colmillo with the live electronica group Wako Texas, which featured tabla, vibraphone and tenor sax among other instruments.

Julian has also contributed to the scores of a number of movies, both feature films and shorts. (Sueno, directed by Renee Chabria, starring John Leguiziamo and Ana Claudia Talancon, Carambola, directed by Kurt Hollander, starring Diego Luna and Jesus Ochoa, and Ligerita, directed by Mariana Rodriguez, starring Flor Eduarda Gurrola).

In 2009, Julian embarks upon a new chapter by collaborating with the electronica label Pantamuzik, with whom he plans to release an E.P, of recent works, along with remixes from the Pantamuzik crew.
