Dub Dummies

Dub Dummies is an electronic music duo consisting of two Argentineans musicians: Christian Hainich (aka Atrx) and Juan Manuel Castelo (aka Mr.Castelo).
They first met in 2001, while studying at the National University of Quilmes. Juan was studying electronic music composition and Christian biotechnology.
When they met Julio Largente they did their first EP ìCumbia Nenaî which came out on Opendecks Records in 2008.
After some time, they met, Franco Bianco. He used their tracks worldwide, and even edited Dub Dummies in his digital label Darek Recordings, which includes many great artists such as Someone Else, Mike Wall, Shadi Megallaa, SCSI-9, Amesh and the list can go on and on.
In 2009 Dub Dummies released ìHouse, metals, laughter and bugsî by Darek recods, with remixes of Butane, Nooncat, Nacho Benedetti and Jose Wated. And also made some remixes for the Italians label, Globox and Zirben.
They also open Sweet Noise Audiovisual netlabel, with Rodrigo Rivera, Kudach, and Clip4food. The netlabel also includes video to the music, with a free distribution system.
During 2010, Mr.Castelo represented Dub Dummies in Europe, playing in Berlin clubs such Arena Club (w/ Jesper Dahlb‰ck and Franco Bianco), Rekorder (w/ Alejandro Vivanco and Argenis Brito), Midsommar Fest in Luzern, Switzerland (w/Nooncat, Karmina, Mike Wall among others) , and some shows around Poland.
The last work of the duo, ìMantraî Ep, delivery two original techno tracks, with remixes of Jesper Dahlblack and Phil Kieran, released by Intelligent Sound Laboratory Records, Jesper Dahlback`s lablel.
The Dub Dummies will definitely continue to produce many tracks, and they are also planning nonstop live performances with their own material, to combine dj and live sets, as duo or single presentation.
During 2011 you will find a great number of releases made by the Dub Dummies, including remixes and collaboration with friends and co-producers. They are a great duo to follow and to remember, with many tricks up their sleeves.
